Now that the weather has gotten colder, it's almost impossible to walk outside without a coat. On my Christmas wishlist this year was a J Crew cocoon coat and as you can see, I'm already wearing it. I was lucky enough to be gifted this coat by my mom a few weeks early so I could start getting use out of it now. To say I am obsessed with this coat is an understatement; I love the high collar & cocoon shape, plus made of wool & is so warm for the cold weather, AND while it comes in 12 shades, the sandstone color is a total classic that I will wear for years. In case I didn't convince you that you need this coat yet, read on for 3 reasons you need to add a camel coat to your wardrobe...

1. It goes with everything. As I mentioned this coat comes in a huge range of colors from cobalt blue or bold red, but I opted for the camel color (called Sandstone on the J Crew site) because it matches everything  I wear. This color is versatile enough to be paired with my LBD or my jeans & tee shirt and always manages to look fantastic.

2. It can be worn in all seasons. A color like this goes beyond a single season and can be worn over & over again no matter the temperature. Note - this particular coat is made of wool, so it might not be practical in warmer weather, but a lighter weight trench coat in this shade would be perfect for the spring & summer!

3. The design is timeless. I love a trendy duster coat or colored leather jacket, but I usually find those items at fast fashion shops & don't spend a lot of money. When it comes to a coat that I'm going to really invest in, it's going to end up being something more classic. I love that the shape of this coat is really crisp and simple so that I know I can wear it year after year and always be in style.
