A GRAY DAY

 

We are through this week! I think this week felt extra long because I've been looking forward to leaving for Philly with J today!  We are so excited to explore the city, taste some cheese steak sandwiches & attend the Rangers/Flyers hockey game! #groupies

SHOP: SPRING BREAK

Sad but true -- normally, once you graduate college & enter the working world, spring break no longer exists, however my family has a tradition each year of taking a week long 'spring break' vacation - just the four of us!  We leave for Puerto Rico in just over 2 weeks & I'm not sure if I'm more excited for family time or to escape the never ending snow in New York.

LEOPARD BOOTIES

After a 3 month search & 4 returns, I FINALLY have gotten my hands on the PERFECT pair of leopard booties!  My hunt started before Christmastime & since then I have been ordering & returning, ordering & returning...  Finally, thanks to Nordstrom Rack, I have my perfect pair!  These Loeffler Randall booties are truly perfect in my eyes; I am so, so excited about them!

Tried a little something different with my hair today!  It's gotten a little bit longer, but still only makes a stubby little ponytail so I have been experimenting with braids!   I love a front french braid to keep my hair off of my face, plus it stays put all day!

ACCESSORY OBSESSED

 

Sometimes an all black look just so happens to also be the easiest; add in a few coordinating accessories to help amp the look up & you're out the door.  

This winter, I have been living in blanket scarves.  This Aqua scarf was on my wishlist for a while & I was so excited when my grandparents got it for me :)! It is a nice, thick knit -  perfect for cozying up on the train for my long, cold commutes to and from NYC.

Even though Valentine's Day is one of those Hallmark holidays, it is also one of my favorites.  Who doesn't appreciate flowers & candy?  Plus, I love any excuse to get dressed up & this Sam Edelman dress with its silver beading is perfect for the occasion.

So obviously, you are seeing that the snow magically disappeared between yesterday's post & today.  Not the case in real life! SNOW DAY

DENIM + CAMEL

Denim on denim is one of my favorite looks to wear.  Since it's cold, & I mean REALLY cold lately, I kind of just kept tossing pieces on top of my outfit to layer & keep warm.  This Zara cape & pom hat are two of my favorite (& coziest) winter pieces.
