HALLOW'S EVE
Since Halloween falls on a Friday this year, and will be another typical work day for me (& many others), I thought I would share some of my favorite costume inspired pieces for those of us who will not be dressing up day of!

I love the burst of color that this bright, structured coat adds to an otherwise basic outfit. My favorite outerwear is not only is warm, but makes a statement; especially, since it's the first thing people see come fall & winter time. The yellow color of this coat is an instant pick me up on the gray streets of New York City.

BERRY COZY
This is by far my favorite fall outfits that I've worn thus far this season. I know it is super matchy-matchy - right up to my berry colored lip - but I think that's my favorite part about it!
Back in late August/early September I tried on this cape in stores, but it was way too early (& warm) to actually make a purchase. Fast forward about a month & I was still thinking about this cape, which was now sold out. It took me weeks of stalking Zara's website to finally make it mine!
I am obsessed with this over sized knit & toss it on all the time. I usually reserve it for weekend/nighttime wears since it is so cozy, but this time I dressed it up for a work day.
I based the entire outfit on the colors in this bag. All three scream fall & I love how they look paired together.
I ordered this tri-color bag from Amuze on super sale, (seriously, if I told you what I paid compared to the original price, you wouldn't believe me!) READY FOR COMBAT... BOOTS
I love, love this shade of red. It is such a power color & instantly makes me feel ready to take on the world. I kept the rest of this outfit pretty basic, with minimal accessories, to really allow the firetruck color to take center stage.

On September 26, Elie Tahari teamed up with Kohl's to launch the cutest collection inspired by my favorite city in the world, New York City. While I am a huge fan the city skyline pieces, this taxi sweater was a must have. I am obsessed with the bright yellow taxi cabs on this top; it screams NYC & happens to be my favorite color :)

I recently took part in NY College Fashion Week hosted by Her Campus, Tresemme, Bare Minerals, boohoo.com & more, and boy, was it a whirlwind! From runway practice, hair styling, make up application & outfit fittings, the time flew, & suddenly, it was time to walk. The whole minute or so that I was out there was a total blur.

I had the opportunity to take part in 2 of the 3 scenes for the night & I loved both outfits. The first was my absolute favorite & something I would totally wear in real life.

OTK SOCK

I last wore these socks in the early spring when I was totally done with tights weather. Well, now that I'm not quite ready for tights weather to begin again, I have been using knee highs as a transition.
I love the look of a sliver of skin showing between the dress & the sock, however as the weather gets colder, a sock alone isn't going to keep me warm enough! That's why I am on the hunt for the perfect (affordable!) pair of OTK boots. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments section! :)
