Some of my favorite outfits that I see celebs & other bloggers wear are also sometimes the most basic.  There's something about a great jeans & tee outfit that is classic & effortless. Today's look is dressed down and pretty much the epitome of what I wear when I don't plan to take photos. Recently, I thought about how I always wanted my blog to reflect my real life & my daily outfits, so these more casual & simple looks should be photographed now & then too.  What do you guys think, is this outfit blog-worthy?

As I mentioned above, this outfit is a version of what I reach for on days when I don't plan to take photos.  Tee shirts, distressed jeans, my leather jacket (I just ordered this suede one for fall!) & white sneakers have become staples in my wardrobe and are worn at least once every week! There are 3 main tee shirt styles that I believe all you gals should have at least 1 of in your wardrobe.

1. White Tee - the ultimate in basic tee shirts is the white tee. This top can literally be paired with anything and everything, looks great on its own or layered with other pieces and comes in an endless number of shapes. I recommend white tanks, white t shirts (v necks are my favorite) and white long sleeves for the winter.

2. Graphic Tee - whether it be your favorite band, your favorite cartoon character or your favorite mantra, you need at least 1 quirky, graphic tee in your wardrobe. I love wearing my graphic tees with pencil skirts for a mix of dressed up and dressed down, but they pair just as well with a pair of jeans, leather pants or joggers.

3. Striped Tee - A striped tee, like I'm wearing today, is probably my favorite of all of the tee shirt styles out there. There's something about stripes; it's just such a great print for all seasons! I love classic black & white stripes and as with the white tee, stripes mix and match with just about everything! For a slimming look, try vertical stripes!

In order to jazz up this outfit a bit, I added a blue BaubleBar necklace. I thought the outfit still needed a little something so I added a lace choker from Nordstrom.  Then I thought there was a bit too much space in between those two necklaces so I added a third fringe statement necklace from Macy's.  Finally, I forced myself to step away from the jewelry wall. LOL, but in all seriousness, I kind of love how it turned out. I don't wear statement jewelry often enough and these necklaces made a basic outfit quirky and fun!
