PALM PRINTED JUMPSUIT




 There are no words to describe how much I love this jumpsuit - yes, it's a jumpsuit, not a maxi dress, which makes it even cooler, right? I ordered this piece on a whim, with fingers crossed, because let's be honest, ordering a jumpsuit online and thinking it'll fit is often not likely, but this one ended up fitting absolutely perfectly & was even more beautiful than I could have imagined in person.

HOW TO FEEL CONFIDENT IN A SWIMSUIT


 
While I am thrilled for the return of warm weather & beach days, heading to the beach in a bikini for the first time of the season can be daunting no matter your shape or size, especially after a long, food-filled, sweater-wearing winter.  On the bright side, it also means tan skin, longer, more relaxing days & an excuse to buy new swimsuits that make you look & feel your best!  Today I am sharing a few ways that help me to feel more confident when I am wearing my swimsuit...

BANANA REPUBLIC SPRING OUTFIT





Today I am sharing my Easter Sunday outfit (you may have already gotten a glimpse of it on Instagram if you follow me - & if you don't, what are you waiting for??)
  Anyone else feel like Easter is always the official kick off to spring?  It's the perfect holiday for wearing pastel colors & floral prints.  This dress combines both & is one of my favorite dresses I've ever owned.  After a winter full of dark colors, sweaters & jeans, it was so refreshing to step into such a light, girly dress.




Banana Republic has been a long time favorite of mine for dresses and skirts (worn here, here & here) and their spring collection is better than ever.  It is full of feminine dresses that are appropriate for work or play.  I am particularly fond of this lace peplum dress and this boho piece, but none are as fantastic as my floral dress.  The fitted bodice & ruffled skirt are super flattering and the floral print screams springtime.  Can you tell I love it?!  Paired with nude heels & coordinating pink earrings, this dress was perfect for Easter Sunday with my family.

LITTLE WHITE DRESS





One of my favorite outfits that I wore during our vacation was this little white dress & my lace up sandals.  A white dress is a must have for any tropical vacation & is also an essential for spring & summer weather.  I especially love the loose fit & pretty eyelet details of this one.

Today I am so excited to share a look I wore on our first night in Barbados.  The weekend prior to our trip, I started packing & realized I needed one more dress to bring.  Looking through my closet, nothing seemed just right for the blue skies & bright sun that would be greeting me when I arrived in Barbados, so at the very last minute, I placed an order for this gorgeous cobalt blue maxi dress.  I have never been more grateful for Shopbop's free 3 day shipping.

MARCH SHOWERS & FLOWERS





 I am SO excited to be working with American Eagle again this month to showcase some of their latest items for spring. American Eagle has been a long time favorite of mine - every single pair of their jeans seem to magically fit perfectly & in recent years, I have become a huge fan of their sweaters, dresses & everything in between.  

When I saw this floral wind breaker, I knew it would be absolutely perfect for April showers & May flowers, but since we've had a few warmer days lately, I couldn't resist pulling it out a bit early.

A quick post to share a transitional winter to spring look.  I kept this entire outfit neutral & incorporated some cold weather pieces, like a long sleeve striped top (which is actually a dress!) & booties, as well as, a warmer weather black denim skirt.

I am in Barbados this week! I have been so excited to getaway from NY - I almost forgot what warm weather feels like! (Be sure to follow along on Instagram @michelle_orsi & Snapchat @michelle.orsi for the latest action)  Believe it or not, I don't think I've ever taken a trip where I check my baggage.  I am always somehow able to limit my packing to just one carry on suitcase & a large tote bag. Today, I'm sharing a few packing tips so you can do the same on your next trip!  

SKIRTS & SNEAKERS







By now, you have seen me wearing my Stan Smith sneakers with a ton of dressed down, easy looks (seen here & here), but the great part about this particular pair of sneakers is that they truly go with anything!   One of the main words that I use to describe my style is 'casual,' so I love that it is now acceptable to wear a dress or skirt with sneakers - no more days of aching feet in high heels.  The balance of a flirty dress or skirt with a pair of classic sneakers creates an unexpected & very cool combo - if I do say so myself.

A TOUCH OF WESTERN WEAR






How freaking awesome is this jacket!?  As soon as I got it, I became obsessed with the rich shade & fun fringe detailing.  However, it took me a while to figure out how to style it without looking like I was going to a costume party dressed as a cowgirl.  By pairing this western inspired jacket with all black, I was able to take it from cowgirl to street style!



Style Tip: When wearing a western inspired piece, the key is to only wear ONE piece.  Keep everthing else super basic & classic.  This single tip will help to avoid your outfit from looking like a costume!

STYLING SOCKS WITH HEELS




I remember circa 2003 when I got my first Juicy sweatsuit & my first pair of Birkenstock's for Christmas.  I wore both on my first day back to school and thought I was the coolest thing ever.  While leisurewear & Birkenstock's are both in style again, let me paint a picture of my look for you....a white terrycloth sweatshirt & pants with JUICY stamped across the back & bottom accessorized with my Birkenstock's...and socks!  I cringe just thinking about that outfit, but the worst part for me was definitely the white athletic socks with my sandals.

Nowadays, adding socks to a pair of pumps or sandals can actually be pretty fun & quirky but it has to be done the right way.  I've noticed socks and heels continue to be a huge trend in street style & on the runways and challenged myself to try it out. I opted for a very thin black sock with my bright red pumps.  

HOW TO GET MOTIVATED FOR A WORKOUT





When it comes to avoiding working out, I've come up with every excuse in the books..it takes too long to see a difference, I'm too tired, I'm too busy...The list goes on and on.  But this year, I've really challenged myself to try to create a steady workout routine for myself, even if it's just for 15 minutes a day.  Read on for my easy tips to help yourself get motivated to get moving!
