Today's post is dedicated to the men in your life. Whether it's your dad, S.O or male BFF, shopping for the guys can be challenging. Today I've rounded up a few of my favorite gifts for guys, including a few of J's favorite things!

1. Ugg Slippers. This is the only thing J asked for this year. He used to have a pair and he wore them to death so he is in need of a new pair. These slippers are also something I've gifted my dad in the past because no one likes having cold feet ;)

2. Checkered Shirt. Mizzen and Main shirts are J's favorite brand of button down of all time, but they are also my favorite for him. These shirts are moisture wicking - which means no sweat stains, wrinkle proof - which means your guy will always look crisp and put together, and are machine washable - which means no trips to the dry cleaners. So basically, this is the best shirt EVER.

3.  Bose Speakers. For the music lover; these Bluetooth speakers are small enough to travel with and easily connect to your phone.

4. Tie. With a Dad who works in a corporate setting, new ties are great gifts for him. It's something he wears almost every day but rarely buys for himself. The color & print options at Nordstrom are endless.

5. Oakley Sunglasses. Another favorite of J's. Let's just say he doesn't care for his things the same way that I do and these sunglasses are able to keep up with him. He wears them so often that I got him a second pair for his birthday in September.

6. Fit Bit Watch. For the athlete in your life. This watch tracks calories burner, elevation climbed and counts your daily steps. It also tracks your sleep, syncs with your phone to display workouts and monitors your heart rate. If that's not enough for you, the mobile app tracks your food intake and allows you to track your overall goals & progress.

7. Nike Sneakers. Yet another favorite of J's. He has a pair of these Nike sneakers in olive and they have become the only pair he wears. I love this navy color since they are a departure from black but still a great neutral.

8. Backpack. For the traveler or the adventurer, Hershel backpacks are lightweight but heavy duty.

9. Socks Set. I can't stand grimy socks, socks with holes or worst of all, mismatched socks, so a gift box full of fun printed socks by Happy Socks is a must for guys each year.

10. The North Face Quilted Jacket. This jacket makes the perfect fall coat and then the perfect layering piece for cold weather. It's made with down feathers for extra warmth and is under $200!

11. Fossil Money Clip/Card Case. This wallet is a steal at only $30 but the suede fabric & rich cognac color makes it look much more expensive.

12.  Bose Headphones. These wireless headphones are also noise cancelling making them perfect for the guy who commutes daily or travels often. My dad has a pair that he loves to wear on airplanes.

What are you gifting your guys this year?

Now that the weather has gotten colder, it's almost impossible to walk outside without a coat. On my Christmas wishlist this year was a J Crew cocoon coat and as you can see, I'm already wearing it. I was lucky enough to be gifted this coat by my mom a few weeks early so I could start getting use out of it now. To say I am obsessed with this coat is an understatement; I love the high collar & cocoon shape, plus made of wool & is so warm for the cold weather, AND while it comes in 12 shades, the sandstone color is a total classic that I will wear for years. In case I didn't convince you that you need this coat yet, read on for 3 reasons you need to add a camel coat to your wardrobe...

Today's post is all about gifts under $100. When you have a ton of people to shop for around the holidays, budgeting is super important. For me, I like to treat people to something nice but don't want to spend a fortune. For many of the people on my list, under $100 is the sweet spot. Since first shopping at Talbots this summer, they have become a regular on my list of sites to shop. I can always count on Talbots to have great pieces for the season that are modern and sophisticated.

Sorry for the delayed post! I went to see Sweet Charity on Broadway last night starring Sutton Foster. It was such a fun play & Sutton's acting & character put a smile on my face so many times! Now onto today's post topic... winter skin. There is nothing worse than dry skin. Seriously, I loathe dry hands, chapped lips and rough skin because of the cold weather, so today I'm sharing a few products & tips that have been helping me keep my skin healthy and moisturized as the temperatures continue to drop...

1. Use a mask. I am a big fan of ELF makeup products but did you know they also have a facial skin care line? I recently had the pleasure of trying out some of their skin care products and I couldn't be more impressed. Their hydrating bubble mask is my favorite & has made it's way into my weekly skin care routine. This mask goes on as a gel & bubbles up into a foam to deep clean which is super cool & unlike any mask I've ever tried before.

2. However much you were drinking, drink more water & take your vitamins. This one is simple & is something you should always be doing, but in the winter when the air is dry & your immune system could be down, it's especially important to hydrate & care for yourself from the inside out.

3. Use a humidifier. During the week, I go from freezing cold temperatures outside to a dry office with a heater on blast in the corner. This dry heat might even be worse for my skin than the cold outside air, so I decided last winter to order a mini humidifier to keep at my desk. This product is a lifesaver & I can't recommend it enough! The humidifier has actually become a talking point because people walk by & see it and need to know more LOL! It might look a little silly to have this contraption on my desk, but it really makes all the difference, so to me, it's worth it.

4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. During the winter time, there is no such thing as too much moisture for your skin.  In addition to my daily SPF/moisturizer, I have upped my nightly facial routine by adding ELF's hydrating night cream which includes aloe, Vitaman E & cucumber and ELF's illuminating eye cream that brightens skin and is packed with green tea. Both leave me with smooth, nourished skin when I wake up in the morning.

Kicking off my holiday shopping series with my own personal wishlist...

1. North Face Jacket. I realized last week while having dinner with my mom & sister that I have had my winter coat for over 6 years. It's still great, but it's also probably time for a new one and what better time than Christmas. My sister has a North Face jacket that is longer in length and she claims it is life changing. Let's see if she's right ;)

2. Show Me Your Mumu Tunics.  I think these t shirts are the cutest & even better, my sister and I can each wear one!  Hint  -This would be a great gift idea for your sister or BFF.

3. Sleepyhead Thermal PJ's. I ask for a new pair of pajamas every year. It's something that I always need, but don't typically purchase for myself. I love this thermal pair with their cute winter pattern.

4. Rose Gold Nike's. I think these sneakers are so, so, so pretty! I already love the Nike Thea style (I own red & black pairs) and the fact that this pair is rose gold is the icing on the cake. I can see myself wearing them all the time to dress up a basic outfit. They also come in silver & metallic navy.

5. David Yurman Bracelet. I just want one more DY bracelet and then my arm party is complete, I promise.

6. Desk Calendar. My coworkers can attest to the fact that I am calendar obsessed. I currently have five 2016 calendars on my desk at work & am already looking for replacement calendars for 2017. I love this Kate Spade gold desk calendar, now all I need is 4 more ;)

7. Free People Scarf. I've been wanting this scarf for a couple of months now but thought it would make a great Christmas gift so I waited. I'm so glad I did because now it comes in pink! I love this soft blush shade and I can only hope the fabric looks as cozy as I think it is.

8. Ugg Boots. The last time I had a pair of Ugg boots was in college and I really miss being able to slip them on when I'm running out to the store or going to grab breakfast in the mornings. Nowadays Ugg has so many boot styles so they are anytime but boring. This pair actually has a zipper closure on the inside of the leg. I love this color as well.

9. J Crew Coat. This coat has been on my radar for a loooong time now and I think it's finally time to invest in one. Clearly this classic coat style isn't going anywhere and while it's available in every color of the rainbow (seriously, it comes in 11 colors), I  think this sand color is a timeless shade that I will wear for years.

10. Brown OTK Boots. I have a pair of black OTK boots & a pair of burgundy OTK boots so all that I need now is a brown pair. I love that this Dolce Vita pair is more sturdy than my other 2 pairs and I love the western seam details. I also love this pair by Vince Camuto that is on sale for under $200.

What's on your list this year?
