I gotta be honest with you guys, I'm not a huge fan of gingham print on myself.  *gasp* I know - it seems like such a easy print to wear but every time I put it on, I feel kind of like a picnic table.  Not cute!   I've tried again and again to wear gingham but hadn't been able to find the perfect piece, until this dress started calling my name.




Fashion is all about taking risks, so when I saw this dress, I loved the shirt dress shape & maxi length but was a little unsure about the print, even though it's super subtle, it's still gingham. (It also comes in red gingham print but I decided that was a bit much for me.)  By pairing this dress that was out of my comfort zone with pieces that I feel totally comfortable in, I was able to turn this piece that I was nervous about into a pretty decent outfit & wouldn't ya know... I got a ton of compliments during the day while wearing this dress!  Sometimes wearing something that scares you a bit can pay off!
