From hosting the perfect party to finding the perfect gift for each friend and family, the holiday season can be stressful to say the least. I don't think there is a time of year that my calendar is more packed with events and that I feel more emotions at once - anxious, excitement, stress, joy! Today I'm sharing a few things that help me feel calm, balanced and mentally energized during the holiday season.
1. Diet & Exercise. When your calendar starts getting busy, sometimes the last thing I think about is sitting down for a healthy meal or a workout, but keeping your routine in tact is essential to stay energized and focused. I try especially hard to eat healthy, get enough sleep and get a workout in, even if it's a short one.
2. Stay Energized. For the past couple of weeks, I have been taking a youtheory® Maca Root supplement with my morning juice to make me feel healthy and energized all day. A little bit about the Maca Root: Maca (known as Peruvian Ginseng) is cultivated in the Andes Mountains of Peru. It is a root veggie used for health and nutritional purposes, such as energy, PMS relief and balancing hormones. Today, Maca is considered a 'superfood' that helps to boost energy and support your health and wellness.
3. Treat yourself. Whether it's a small gift to yourself, a manicure or an hour to sit down and watch your favorite show, it's important to think of yourself this season. While you run around bringing everyone else joy, think about what brings you joy & treat yourself to something small that makes you happy. It will make a huge difference!
How do you keep calm during the holiday season?

Michelle Paige
