Today I'm sharing an easy but stylish Labor Day outfit that I wore over this past weekend. My family were supposed to go out East but tropical Hermine ruined those plans so we stuck around town prepared for rain & windy conditions, but as of last night, still nothing in NY! (knock on wood!)
Anyways, towards the end of the summer, I get super excited about wearing fall clothing, but have certain items that I'm never quite ready to pack away. Exhibit A: my denim shorts. I am giving them a few last wears & pairing them with some long sleeves tops & lightweight sweaters to ease my way into transitioning to fall. This ruffle, striped top is not only perfect for Labor Day weekend but also going to be so much fun to wear with skinny jeans into the fall.

Ruffled and bell sleeved tops and dresses are 2 big trends for fall and I love that this top combines both without being overwhelming or overly trendy.  The shape is modern for fall but simple blue & white stripes are a classic print. (This top also comes in solid white - which is crisp and chic!) Plus, at under $20, how can you go wrong?!

Shorts: American Eagle | Boots: Hunter (I typically wear size women's 6, I fit into kid's 4 in Hunters. Cheaper & not as tall on the leg!) | Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunglasses: Ray Ban
