chambray and leather outfit

Last week, I talked about how texture is one of my favorite trends for fall.  Leather, denim and suede are so versatile and can be so easily mixed or matched to create different looks.  Last week, I wore this suede dress and earlier this week, I wore this suede dress - both times choosing to match my dress with a pair of suede shoes.

Today, I am showing how easy it is to mix up different textures in one look by wearing a chambray top, leather skirt and suede shoes

This look was the last I wore for NYFW and it was one of my favorites - gotta save the best for last right?! I loved the rich jewel tones and fun materials that I was able to mix up to create an interesting look out of simple items.

Style Tip: I think when it comes to mixing up textures, go for it! But my one major tip would be to stick to solids and keep an eye on your color scheme - once you start adding in patterns, textures AND crazy colors, things have potential to get a bit messy.

Green has never been a color that I have been a huge fan of, but this emerald shade is absolutely gorgeous and is a dark, deep green that I thought looked fabulous paired with complementing shades.
