The most popular type of sandal is this season is most definitely the platform. You have probably seen these wedges being worn by what seems like every blogger out there (or this pair that is WAY less expensive), and I'll be honest, I ordered the Marc Fisher pair and wanted to love them. But I just couldn't get on board. Those wedges are lightweight and super comfortable shoe but also very chunky and it just was not flattering on my chicken ankles. I was a little sad thinking I wasn't going to be able to take part in the platform sandal trend until I found these not as chunky but just as comfortable Michael Kors platform heels. The best tip I can give for this trend is trial & error until you find a pair that flatters your legs, but totally worth purchasing because of the comfort factor!
My most worn sandal style this summer has been the slide sandal. The ease & effortlessness of wearing a slide sandal matches that summer attitude perfectly. You have seen me wear these Schutz slides over and over again this season but #notsorry because I truly can't get enough. Not only are they comfortable and easy to slide into on my way out the door ;) but the colors are what keeps me coming back to them! SO fun!
Last but certainly not least, if you only get one dressy sandal for the summer, make it the naked heel. This style is made by a ton of different designers but mine are Steve Madden and are under $100. In a nude color, this minimal sandal matches all outfits and is made to match your skin tone so that it is barely noticeable!
