A few weeks ago, I posted a weekend athleisure look explaining how I'm not really the 'gym type' when it comes to working out. I much prefer workouts that don't actually feel like workouts - just fun activities that happen to be healthy & get my blood pumping. It led to a few questions about what type of activities I meant, so today I'm going to go a bit more in depth about my workouts.
Lately, about once a week, I get the urge to get moving. I have been loving doing the ballet/barre workouts that I find online or on demand at night. I have yet to actually make it to one of the classes (if anyone wants to go to one in NY with me - I need that extra push!)
On the weekends, if the weather is nice, I love a good bike ride or for something quicker but still challenging and fun, I have been jumping rope. Did you know that only 15 minutes will burn 170 calories??
Sidebar: I am AWFUL at it, but even just a few minutes of trying gets my heart pumping and makes me feel like I've accomplished something. Plus, a jump rope is so easy to tote around when we go out East for the weekends or to the beach.
The TKO jump rope that I've been using comes in lots of fun color combinations and has a nice soft grip. TKO has a ton of fitness products that range from yoga mats to boxing gloves to promote healthy living.

How do you work out when you are crunched for time?
