After a long week of rain, it hit 80 degrees this weekend & it was so nice to wear an outfit for that weather! Once summer officially hits, I start storing away my jeans & end up wearing a different type of 'uniform'. Read on for 3 of my summer weather essentials.
1. Maxi Dress - I've always loved a printed or bright colored maxi dress. It's a no brainer for the summer. My last Stitch Fix included a black maxi dress & the second I put it on, I knew it was going to be a keeper. Clearly I haven't known what I've been missing because a black maxi dress works in the same way as a LBD in that it goes with everything & works for every occasion! Prepare to see this maxi a lot this summer!
2. Denim Jacket - In the summer, I barely ever leave home without my denim jacket. It's the perfect light weight piece to toss over every outfit when the AC is blasting indoors. I've had this one for years & absolutely adore it.
3. Slide Sandals - I am totally & completely obsessed with slide sandals. Not only are they so easy to slip on & be out the door, but they are also so cute & comfortable! I love how so many pairs this season have fun embellishments like prints, bows or studs! I'll be doing a post soon on my favorite pairs for the summer!
Dress: via Stitch Fix (sign up for your fix here!) | Sandals: Sam Edelman | Jacket: American Eagle | Bag: Gucci

Hi, Michelle
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for inspiring a love of hot weather (the only reason I like it is so I can swim in an outdoor pool!) I will put a maxi dress on the top of my list to wear when it gets hot (like tomorrow!)
