While I love my jeans year round, I've been working on switching up my denim styling for spring. Especially now, there are so many denim styles that you can wear that aren't jeans. Try a denim dress, overalls or a skirt instead for spring!  I particularly love styles that have some added details, like patchwork, ruffles, buttons, etc.

Denim styles other than jeans are all the rage right now & since it's one of my favorite casual fabrics to wear, I have been snatching up denim pieces left & right.  A denim jacket, dress or skirt are great options to wear instead of jeans in warmer weather.  There are a huge range of styles from midi to maxi & blazers to bombers all in denim right now!

Adding a hat to this look was a fun way to accessorize a simple dress.  I love wearing felt fedora hats in the fall and recently switched over to straw hats for spring/summer.  A hat is the perfect finishing touch to an effortless summer look and it also protects your face & hair from the sun's rays.   This one from Brooklyn Hat Company's spring/summer collection was much too pretty to save for a beach day!  Brooklyn Hat Company offers a ton of classic styles but I went with this more modern take on a wide brim hat because I loved the blue straw threaded into the hat. The attention to detail on Brooklyn Hat Company's pieces are meticulous & this topper was no exception.
