Like any New Yorker, I have a thing for the color black. Black is one of those colors that no matter the day, month, season or occasion is always in style.  It's also the color I most often reach for when I'm stumped on what to wear.  The one thing I don't love about the color is it's ability to fade to the background on streets full of rainbow colors & patterns. So I love when my black pieces that have a bit of detail to elevate my overall look.

Since my sister first introduced me to Tobi, it quickly became a favorite of mine to shop for trendy yet affordable pieces. They have the best party dresses and body con dresses for girl's night out or date night as well as tons of fun rompers for festival season & summer in general.  When I decided I needed some new tops for spring/summer, Tobi's website was my first stop. Of course when you think spring tops, your first thought probably isn't black, but when I first spotted this top from Tobi I just had to have it.  The sheer panels & crochet cutouts made this black top anything but basic.

Never one to shy away from a pop of color, I went for a bright yellow bag & floral sandals to finish off this all black look & add some hints of spring to the outfit.  It turned out to be one of my favorite looks of the season so far!
