A few weeks ago, I talked about back to school basics that I always found to be essentials while I was in college.  Today, we are moving forward to the present and are talking about some quick and easy looks for the working girl. My office is casual, but it's still important to me to look put together.

I'm super excited to write this post since the idea was given to me by a reader! The whole point of this blog was to inspire you all as you got dressed each morning, so any post ideas that you guys have I am so, so happy to create!

Waking up in the morning is rough.  Add in having to get dressed up and look presentable for work and it's almost impossible some mornings to think about putting together an outfit.  I have 3 no fail looks that I always go to when I'm too sleepy to think of a real outfit...

1. Go monochrome. Wearing the same color from head to toe is not only easy, it's super flattering.  Try mixing up the textures like I did with a silk top and dark denim.  In shades like black or white, this look is classic, and in colors like, red, burgundy, blue or navy, it is a little more bold.
2. Shirt-dresses are your friend.  A shirt-dress is the easiest outfit to throw on this mornings to quickly be out the door.  This dress style usually has a bit of structure and some subtle details which is perfect for a simple work day look.
3. Just add a blazer.  Adding a structured blazer or jacket to almost any look will make it look more work day appropriate.  Add a fitted blazer over an a-line dress or a boyfriend style blazer over dark jeans and a tee.
