While I love the look of a crop top with a high-waist skirt or pair of shorts, this particular crop top was too revealing for a day in the office (especially with its open back), so I pulled a coordinating colored tank from my closet & layered the two for a casual, yet still covered look. The looser fit of this crop top was the perfect layering tool; anything tighter would have shown my layers.
If you love the crop top trend but don't love the idea of showing that much skin, try layering a crop top over a tank. Keep the top loose for a streamlined look.
This outfit ended up with quite a few gray & cool blue tones which made me feel a bit more rock & roll for a day. A departure from the brighter shades I usually lean towards that give my outfits more of a feminine vibe.
Would you try this layering technique?
