It's the most wonderful time of the year when it comes to sports. The most exciting time in baseball is happening (the World Series), football is in full swing and hockey is back! Of course, if you've followed my blog for a long time, you know that I have a huge soft spot in my heart for the New York Rangers (see more looks here & here).  They are my 'ride or die' team and I actually avoid making plans with my friends on NYR game nights ;) For you sports fans that aren't as die hard about a team as I am, but still like to show your team spirit when attending or watching a game, my look today shows you 2 ways to support your team when you don't own a jersey...

1. Add a hat. In my mind, this is one of the easiest ways to go from daytime casual to game day ready.  If I'm heading to a hockey game on a weeknight after work, I often toss a NYR cap in my work bag and add it to my look for the game.

2. Wear your team colors.  For this trick, start with a basic jeans and tee or sweater in neutral shades and then add accessories in your team's colors.  In today's look, I added a blue scarf and some bold red sneakers to show off the NYR team colors of red, white and blue.  This trick can be done for any team of any sport, although I will admit some colors are trickier than others :)

Scarf: Aqua via Bloomingdales (old, similar) | Sweatshirt: Zara (recent in stores) (similar here) | Jeans: American Eagle | Sneakers: Nike | Hat: NHL

How do you switch up your outfit when attending a sporting event?
