It has been a while since I've ordered a box from Stitch Fix (see items from my last box here) but with summer approaching, I thought it would be the perfect time to see what a Stitch Fix stylist had up their sleeve for me ;).  I placed an order for my box to arrive a couple of weeks ago & today I'm wearing one of my fix obsessions: this dress!

It's always super exciting to receive a box of clothing & accessories hand picked for you but it can also be kind of nerve wrecking because I'm not the one doing the hand picking! Lucky for me, I've ordered a few boxes & I feel like the stylists usually do a good job of choosing one or more items that fit my style to a T. In this box, I received a jacket, 2 tops, a dress & a pair of shoes.

First up, let's talk about the tops/jacket. My least favorite top was the Market & Spruce Magali Dip Dye Hi-Low Knit Top. I think a lot of women would actually like this top & get a lot of use out of it, but it just wasn't for me. I wasn't a fan of the reverse ombre coloring or the knit fabric (I prefer plaid old cotton tee shirts).  The next top in my box was Supply & Demand Laya Cold Shoulder Knit Top. This top was pretty, but again just not for me. I love the idea of wearing this top with jeans or denim shorts but the color of this top is what threw me off. It was too close to the shade of my blue jeans & not in a cool monochromatic way. This top would look great with white jeans but that would feel too limiting for me, so I passed on this one as well. Next up was the Liverpool Temma Denim Jacket in olive green. I was really excited about this piece but it didn't fit well on me at all - too big. A third piece I was sending back :/. Definitely recommend this piece though for a cool twist on a denim jacket.

Next, let's chat about the shoes I received. I had never owned or tried on a pair of Toms until receiving this fix. I'll admit the classic slip on flats were comfortable & I love the mission of the company to provide a pair of shoes for each pair sold, but I just couldn't get over how much these flats look like house slippers. Even the bold red color couldn't sway my decision. These were a hard pass. Sorry Toms!

Lastly, let's talk about this Roonie Embroidered Dress, the piece I decided to keep from this fix! As soon as I saw this embroidered dress by THML, I knew it would be a keeper. I loved the classic shape & navy color & the bright embroidery is right up my alley trend wise this season! I loved how easily it pairs with my denim jacket & a cute pair of sandals. It is going to be my go-to for weekend BBQs all summer!

SO, on a scale of 1 to 10, this box was about a 5 if I'm being truly honest. This dress was the only piece I really loved. Fit & style were an issue with some of the other pieces in my box, however, I've had much better luck in the past so I'm not giving up on you, Stitch FixInterested in trying out Stitch Fix for yourself?
