I love the drama that a cape creates anytime you drape one over your shoulders; it totally ups the glam factor of a classic sweater & jeans. As soon as I saw this one, I knew it was going to match my Stuart Weitzman boots perfectly & had to have it.
I think one of the most important tips when wearing a cape is to make sure you are showing off your shape in some way. That either means wearing a fitted top underneath like I did today by adding this not chunky, but totally warm sweater, or, if the cape is large & drapes enough, belting it at your waist. Also anytime you have more bulk/layering on top, wearing slim fitting pants helps (another example here).
