Merry Christmas week! I am so excited for a week of food, gifts & family! Apparently, a metallic skirt paired with green & hints of red is my go-to look for the holiday's this year (another instance seen here). To be honest, I am A-OK with it! I love, love, love this combo - it makes me feel like a dressed up, glamorous version of normally casual self!
Pairing red & green can sound tricky (you never want to end up looking like a Christmas tree!) but it actually can be super easy. Below are a few tricks to pairing these colors:
1. Add a Metallic: Like I've done in my TWO red & green looks, adding a metallic silver or gold helps break up the red & green while dressing up the overall look & making it feel festive & glamorous! Lucky for all of us, both silver & gold pair nicely with these two shades.
2. Accessorize: If you are afraid to dive head first into a red/green look, try keeping your look neutral and adding red & green accessories. A red/green scarf, red heels, or a green clutch are great ways to add some of these Christmas colors into your look without going overboard. Don't forget to add a glam makeup look. A red lip and some countouring are lovely for all your holiday parties. Learn how to contour your face here.
3. Wear Plaid: Plaid patterns come in all color combos from pastels to basic black & white & they all end up looking great. Try a plaid pattern that incorporates red & green for a more subtle festive look. I love this plaid dress, this plaid top & this plaid scarf!

Sorry for the overload of twirling skirt photos, but really - is it even possible to wear this pleated skirt & not twirl around?? I don't think so :)
